Day 1 / Arrival in Kutaisi , travel to Tbilisi ( 252 km )

Departure from Vilnius. Arrival in Kutaisi international airport. Pick up from Kutaisi international airport and ravel to Tbilisi. One stop on the road for a breakfast at a restaurant. Arrive in Tbilisi check in a hotel  for some rest. The rest will be followed by the walk through the night Tbilisi streets. After a night city tour have an evening dinner at a restaurant with an opportunity to get acquainted to the traditional Georgian feast, watch the professional performance of colorful Georgian folk dances and  listen to the Georgian singing. 

 

Day 2 / Tbilisi – Tbilisi-City Tour – Cognac Factory “Sarajishvili”

After a breakfast at the hotel, start  the Tbilisi – City Tour. This charming town was built in the 5th century along the twisting valley of the Mtkvari River. So, you will be able to see a lots of antiquities chained into a modern infrastructure. We will start tour from the 13th century Metekhi church. Continue to the Synagogue, Syoni Cathedral and Anchiskhati Basilica. Than we approach the 4th century Narikala Fortress, on the cable cab, from which you can enjoy a picturesque panoramic view of Tbilisi. And the walk to the brick-domed Sulfur Baths and botanical garden. After the city tour have a lunch at a restaurant accompanied with delicious local and foreign cuisine. Continue way towards Tbilisi’s district, where the famous Cognac Factory “Sarajishvili”is situated. Worlwide knowk company was estabilished in 1884 in Tbilisi and till today it has collected  500,000 decilitres cognac aged in 16000 oak barrels. Have a chance to taste that delicious alchocol and get aquinted with the history and art of creating cognac. To the end of busy day transfer to the hotel for a short rest  followed with an evening dinner at a restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 / Tbilisi – Sighnaghi – Velistsikhe – Kvareli ( 161 km )

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and drive to the East part of Georgia – Kakheti, main highlight city Sighnaghi. Sighnaghi is one of Georgia’s historic  city which  kept  its original style  during  the centuries with  open  traditional  balconies,  unique  fortress with  churches  and  towers  built  in  it  and narrow beautiful streets to walk along. Sighnaghi is also known as “a city of love”, overlooks the Alazani valley and opens to visitors the magnificent views of the Great Caucasus Range. After a long walk inn and around the city, arrive in  Village Velistsikhe.  At a local fermers place, have a lunch here and opportunity to see the local inabitation of comon Kakhetian farmer with it’s old-fashioed house and traditional wine making options. Arrive in Kvareli town , check in a hotel have an evening dinner and overnight.

 

Day 4 /  Kvareli – Khareba Winery – Gremi – Lopota ( 81 km )

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and walk in Kvareli town to see it’s beautiful and magnificent sceneries. Move to Khareba Winery (12 minutes drive from Kvareli city). The place is unique with its wine caves, which represents the tunnel itself , that is cut off in the stone massif of Caucasian mountain range, where all-year-round the natural temperature of 10-12°C is sustained. Here you will be offered to taste the best sorts of Georgian wines and learn about traditional and modern ways of wine making. The way continues to the historical architectural museum at a Gremi place. Gremi Church  dates back to 15th century. Afterwards, arrive in Lopota Resort Lake & Spa  (15 minutes drive from Gremi place ). Check in a hotel and have a nice comfortable evening with houndreds of opportunities to fill relaxed and entertained. Evening dinner at the restourant and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 5 /  Lopota –  Nekresi – Napareuli –  Tbilisi ( 177 km )

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time until 13 o’clock to explore this unique place with it’s swild nature, comfort and calm athmosphere. Have a wine tasting free rom our company, provided along with Georgian National sweets. After a fine relaxation we drive to the west of Lopota to see some famous historical monuments in east part of Georgia to Nekresi monastery complex. We are lucky to see the 4th century basilica church , (which is considered to be one of the ancient basilicas in Georgia) and  a rare 7th century three-church basilica. The complex also encloses the bishop’s palace dating from the 8th to 9th century , a 16th century tower surrouned with wild nature. Except this you have a chance to see the various ruins of other residential and domestic structures such are : the refectory, wine–caller, small chapels and other antiquities spread out through the complex area. Contiue our way towards Napareuli Village  which gained popularity with the Twins Wine Cellar. Wine Company which belongs to two brothers. They established the wine company with a unique Georgian methods of wine making. Exactly this is a key of their success. Have a lunch in Naparauli and take part in a following workshops : making Churchkhela - the famous Georgian sweet and baking Georgian bread, as well as tasting various Georgian wine. Arrive in Tbilisi check in a hotel and enjoy free evening in a capital of Georgia.

 

Day 6 / Tbilisi – Ananuri – Kazbegi - Tbilisi ( 314 km )

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and drive towards Mtkheta – Mtianeti Region. En’rote to Kazbegi visit Ananuri, a 17th century architectural complex, overlooking the Zhinvali reservoir. One stop on the road for a lunch. Arrive in Kazbegi, drive up to the Gergeti Trinity church on the vehicles, to the main highlight of Kazbegi The Gergeti Trinity Church. The church is (14th century) located on top of the mountain (2170m). Which represents the one of the country’s most iconic images. To the end of the magnificent sceneries and felt of Caucasus spirit, drive back to the capital. Arrive in Tbilisi, check in a hotel have an evening dinner and vernight at the hotel.

 

Day 6 /  Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Jvari – Mukhrani – Tbilisi ( 120 km )

After a breakfast at the hotel, Tbilisi to see it’s greatness on the daylight. As you already know, this charming town was built in the 5th century along the twisting valley of the Mtkvari River. Where up-dated infrastructure is chained to the ancient one. What is more, the fine places in old part of Tbilisi are located side-by-side and it is easily walkable. We will start tour from the 13th century Metekhi church. Continue to the Synagogue, Syoni Cathedral and Anchiskhati Basilica. Than we continue our way to Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region. We arrive in Mtskheta, one of Georgia’s ancient cities (3000 years old) and see its historical place Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th cen.) Where the Robe of Christ is buried. This monument is under a UNESCO protection. From here we continue our way towards Jvari, to a hill, near ancient capital and religious center of Georgia – Mtskheta, where the Jvari ( cross) Monastery is located. One of the masterpieces of Georgian architecture was built in the 6th century. Jvari also represents the one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites. From the Jvari Monastery’s yard a breathtaking views of Aragvi and Mtkvari Rivers estuary can be seen. Arrive in Tbilisi. Check in a hotel and overnight.

 

Day 7 / Tbilisi – Gori –  Kutaisi ( 250 km )

After a breakfast at the hotel we check out and walk for shopping. After drive to Kutaisi. One stop on the road at Gori city. Which represents a historical , cultural and trade center of Imereti region. Where nowadays we can visit a Gori Fortress ( located on a hill ), St. George’s Church of Gorijvari ( on another hill. dated to 18th century ) and a Joseph Stalin Museum. Foto stop at the Joseph Stalin Museum. Proceed in Kutaisi. Check in a hotel, have an evening dinner accompined with a local cuisine and overnight.

 

Day 8 / Deaparture from Kutaisi Intenrational Airport.

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and transfer to Kutaisi international Airport to depart.

 Tbilisi - Mtskheta- Ananuri – Kazbegi (Day 1 )

Arrival in a Tbilisi International Airport. Have a breakfast at the restaurant and then drive directly to the old capital of Georgia, Mtsketa. Which was the birthplace of Christianity in our country, since 317s. Mtskheta itself represents a UNESCO World Heritage Sights name as here is an ancient cathedral Svetitskheoveli built in 11th century where the rob of Christ is buried, as well as 6th century Jvari (Cross ) Monastery, situated on a hill near Mtskheta ( belongs to Mtshketa – Mtianeti Region undoubtedly). We are able also to see a Zedazeni Monastery from where the breathtaking view of Mtkvari and Aragvi river estuary is seen. En’ route to Kazbegi we will visit Ananuri , a 17th century architectural complex, overlooking the Zhinvali reservoir. The sight from where is marvelous. Afterward we continue our way toward Kazbegi. On the road at a Fasanauri we will stop for al lunch. We arrive in Kazbegi at night check in a hotel and overnight, in a Rooms Hotel gorgeous apartments with an unbelievable views from each window.

 

Kazbegi – Zedazeni – Tbilisi ( Day 2)

The next day after a breakfast on a terrace which overlooks the Mountain Kazbegi’s gorges and spread out of it’s small village is a really fascinating sight. We will have an hour and a half climb on the Mount Where Garget Trinity Church is located. Afterwards we move down. Visit - Zedazeni Monastery in Mtskheta. Which was founded by the one of Assyrian monks  in the 540s. From where the breathtaking view of Mtkvari and Aragvi river estuary is seen. Arrive in Tbilisi, have a lunch. And after transfer to Tbilisi International airport. Departure.

The cradle of wine, the Argonauts treasure, The City Of Love , The First Europeans , Christian Bedrock and many more are the examples of Civilization Development. Here you find the ancient and modern combinations side-by-side and while looking through them you only detect excellence !

 

 

Day 1 / Kutaisi - Motsameta – Ubisa- Borjomi  ( 167 km)

Arrival in Kutaisi international airport . Pick up from Kutaisi international airport , have a lunch and travel to nearby sights in Kutaisi. First see a Gelati  Monastery Complex which dates back to 12th century. It was founded by King David IV - The Builder in 1106. Gelati academy and monastery complex in 12th to 13th century was one of the biggest religious, educational, cultural and scientific centers of Georgia. Nowadays there are represented the main cathedral of the Virgin , the church of St. George , belfry , gates and the building of the academy.  At the main entrance of southern part cathedral is the grave of David the Builder.  This was the kings will, to be buried in a place where all people coming to the monastery would step on his grave.  Then we stop at the Motsameta Monastery which is smaller and quieter  than Gelati Monastery Complex. The name of the church “ place of martyrs” – is connected to two brothers David and Constantine Mkheidze who organized the revolt against Arabs and it ended with their torture. The complex draws us back to 8th century. This place is gorgeous with it’s nature and surprising with it’s surrounding. Complex is encompassed by Tskaltsitela River ( “red river “ ) from three sides and walled- cliff on the fourth side. Toward our way to Borjomi we stop at Ubisa Tample. The one of the most important Georgian monumental painting which was built in 9th century and nowadays we only are able to see it’s some or a how destroyed by the time basilica and a tower.Our last destination for this day is Borjomi –  one of the famous resort towns in Georgia. Samtskhe – Javakheti region’s district which consists of Borjomi – Kharagauli National Park one of the largest parks in Europe and richest with it’s flora an fauna. Borjomi also is famous with it’s mineral water. Borjomi town’s  major source of income is bottling of mineral water , coming from water springs. Especially with this notable mark in addition to fresh air and nature town is needful and useful for people with health problems. So now it represents the one of the balneological - ecological resorts in whole of the Caucasus region. We check in a hotel have an evening dinner and afterwards can enjoy being in the nature having there free time, walking along the water springs and tasting them as much as you like. Overnight at this hotel.

 

Day 2 / Borjomi – Akhalcikhe – Khertvisi – Paravani Lake- Akhalkalaki ( 194 km)

Breakfast at the hotel , check out and travel to Akhaltsikhe. Akhaltsikhe ( “ old castle” ) is located in south-western region of Georgia Samtskhe – Javakheti . The first mentioning of this small town draws us back to 12th century. In the areas of Akaltsikhe trough Aspindza, except the different and colorful relief there are represented the Roman and medieval periods artifacts as well as, attested human occupation on this territory in the Early Bronze Age ( 4th Millenium BC ) and later. The main highlight of Akhaltsikhe is an old stone Rabat fortress. Which nowadays calls to be a small town with modern and old parts  in a town. The Rabat Fortress is a cultural and historical complex that shows us Akhmedye mosque 18th century old; an orthodox church 19th century old ; History museum ; Djakeli palace and many more historical pales and turrets from where you can see a picturesque views of Javakheti range.  The modern part of this small town in a town – which was reconstructed in 2012 suggests you a fashionable shops , restaurants and cafes along the line. And we are able to have a lunch in one of this restaurants.  After lunch we proceed to Khertvisi Fortress which is a different surrender of Meskheti Region , proposing us an opportunity to see Georgia’s one of the oldest castles built in 2nd century BC. What about the church so far sighted draws us to 985th  and the walls to much older period of 1354th . According to the legend Khertvisi was destroyed by Alexander the Great. Despite it’s oldness it steel seems very much beautiful dived deep in the forest, based on a rocky mountain.  Afterward we drove to Paravani Lake –one of the biggest lakes with surface in Georgia. It is a volcanic lake , and it’s circled with mountain ranges and green grave with flowers all the time . Here we took some rest feed an eye with it’s landscape and than move to Akhalkalaki ( “ new town”) check in a hotel and overnight .

 

Day 3 / Akhalkalaki – Mtskheta -  Mukhrani - ( 217 km)

After a breakfast drive to visit the ancient capital and religious center of Georgia – Mtskheta (3000 years old) and see its historical places: Jvari (Cross) Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. Svetitskhoveli Cathedral is dated back to 11th century. Where the Robe of Christ is buried. Nowadays Svetitskhoveli represents the seat of the archbishop of Mtskheta and Tbilisi , who is at the same time Catholicons-Patriarch of All Georgia. On a hill, near ancient capital and religious center of Georgia – Mtskheta, is located Jvari ( cross) Monastery. One of the masterpieces of Georgian architecture was built in the 6th century. From Jvari Monastery the spectacular view of  two rivers – the Mtkvari and Aragvi estuary is overlooked. Both Jvari and Svetitskhoveli are UNESCO World Heritage sites. From here we continue road to the north-east of Mtskheta to Zedazeni Monastery founded by the one of Assyrian monks  in the 540s. From this hill spreads a spectacular view of Aragvi and Mtkvari river estuary . We will have some lunch at the restaurant in Mtskheta. Afterwards we  continue our way to the mountainous region of Georgia  up to Mtskheta- Mtianeti Region and arrive in Mukhrani Winery. Here you will enjoy a gorgeous gardens , vineyards  and an old cellars of Ivane Mukhranbatoni . The territory is twisted along the beautiful fields , vineyards ad breathtaking panoramic views. You are able to see the patrimonial palace, wine cellar and a wine collection studio apart where you can taste a different sorts of premium class Georgian wine made from the grapes grown in the vineyards walkable by you. You have an opportunity to make Georgian traditional sweet- Churchkhela , bake a Georgian bread in a clay oven or distillate Chacha ( Georgian “vodka” ) on your own. You are also able to take master class in winetasting ( for additional payment).  Here are a dozens of things to do in this magnificent , beautiful place of Shato Mukhrani Winery. At the end of the day we are going to have an evening dinner , check in a hotel and be prepared for en early check out from the hotel and travel to Kutaisi international airport for departure to Vilnius.
