Borjomi is a resort-town in south-central Georgia in Samtskhe - Javakheti Region, with a population estimated at 14,445. The city is 163 kilometers distanced from Tbilisi (capital) and is situated approximately 850 meters above the sea level. Borjomi is one of the lower mountainous resorts in the state. The town is well-known for its mineral water industry (which is the number one export of Georgia). Mineral water, that have been revered for centuries for having positive healing effects on people with various disorders. Borjomi mineral water is a famous worldwide. Exactly bottling of this mineral water become and still consists to be the major source of income for the area. Archaeological excavations have revealed the existence of stone bathes in the area, proving that these mineral waters have been utilized by people for thousands of years and because of the supposed curative powers of the area's mineral springs and coniferous forest, as well as the fresh air masses makes this place a frequent destination for people with diverse health problems. Borjomi is also home to the most extensive ecologically-themed amusement park in the Caucasus.
